What I can help with
These are the areas I work in. If what you are dealing with is not on the list, write to me anyway and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right person, or point you somewhere better.
Concerns I work with
Sessions are for people living with any of these, and for the people around them.
ADHD
Attention, focus and follow-through, and the frustration that builds around them.
OCD
Intrusive thoughts and the checking or rituals that come with trying to quiet them.
BPD
Intense emotion, fear of being left, and relationships that swing between close and painful.
HPD
Needing to be seen, and the exhaustion of holding attention to feel steady.
Bipolar
Living with shifts in mood and energy, and finding some steadiness around them.
Anxiety
Worry that will not switch off, restlessness, and the body staying on alert.
Depression
Low mood, flatness, and the days where getting going takes everything you have.
Individuals
One to one sessions for adults who want somewhere to think out loud.
Adult counselling
A regular hour to talk through what is weighing on you, with someone whose only job in that hour is to listen carefully and help you make sense of it.
Psychotherapy for adults
Longer term work for patterns that keep repeating. We go slower, look at where they started, and work on what you would like to be different.
Stress management
Practical work on the load you are carrying, what is adding to it, and what actually helps you settle. We build a small set of things that fit your real week.
Work and life balance counselling
For long hours, guilt on both sides, and the feeling of doing everything badly. We look at the boundaries that are missing and what it would take to hold them.
Psychological assessment for adults and children
Structured assessment where a clearer picture is useful, for school, for a referral, or simply to understand a difficulty better before deciding what to do next.
Couples and relationships
Sessions for two people, or for one person thinking about a relationship.
Relationship counselling
For couples stuck in the same argument, or living quietly past each other. We slow the conversation down enough that both people can be heard.
Psychotherapy for couples
Ongoing work for a relationship under real strain, where the difficulty is older and deeper than any single disagreement.
Pre-marital counselling
Space before a marriage to talk about money, family, expectations and difference, while it is still easy to talk about them.
Divorce and separation counselling
Support through a separation, for the grief and the practical decisions, and for how to keep talking when children are involved.
Children and families
Work with young people, and with the parents around them.
Counselling for children and adolescents
For a child who is anxious, withdrawn, angry, or struggling at school. Sessions are age appropriate and parents are kept part of the picture.
Counselling for adopted children and their families
Support around identity, belonging and attachment, for adopted children and for the parents raising them.
Later life
Sessions shaped around what changes as life changes.
Counselling for older adults
For loneliness, loss, retirement, health worries, and the adjustments that come with them. Unhurried sessions, at a pace that suits you.
Approaches I use

Not sure which of these fits?
That is a normal place to start. Describe it in your own words and we will work it out together.
