What a session costs
A session is Rs 800. That is the whole answer, and it is the same for a first session as for any session after it.
What the fee covers
One session of about an hour, in person, with me. Not an assistant, not a junior, not a rotating panel. It also covers the thinking I do between sessions about the work we are doing, and being reachable on WhatsApp between appointments within reason.
How long a session runs
Around an hour. A first session sometimes runs a little longer, since there is more ground to cover at the beginning. Couples sessions are the same length and the same fee.
How many sessions people usually have
It varies. That is not evasion, it is the truthful answer. Some people come for a handful of sessions around one specific difficulty. Others work over a longer stretch because what they are dealing with is older and has more layers to it.
I do not sell a fixed course of sessions and I do not ask anyone to commit in advance. We review how it is going as we go, and stopping is always your decision.
How payment works
Payment is per session, at the session. Nothing is taken in advance. If you need to know anything about payment before you come, ask me on WhatsApp and I will tell you plainly.
Why the cost question is hard to answer online
People searching for counselling usually want to know two things: what one hour costs, and how many hours it will take. The first has a clean answer and it is on this page. The second does not, because it depends on what you bring and how the work goes.
The best anyone can honestly do is state the fee clearly, keep it the same every week, and let you decide session by session. That is what I do.
